On Thursday, 5th December 2024 our Christmas Lunch was once again held in the refurbished Stationers’ Hall. The building dates to 1670 and is filled with fascinating history, paintings and artifacts. In attendance as guests of the Master were the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Mr Bav Shah and Mr Hannan Ali the Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire.

The afternoon began in the Court Room with a sparkling wine reception before lunch was called by the Beadle, which included the traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings. The wine flowed as members and their guests enjoyed 3 fantastic courses ending with, of course, Christmas pudding! After lunch we took part in the singing of some traditional carols led by the superb Carolean Singers, Sophia Jin, Ruby Bak and Kirsty O’Neill. The guests were split into twelve table groups and we all sang a verse of the Twelve Days of Christmas, a splendid and rousing song which was enjoyed by everyone.
