The Master’s Update – week commencing 15th September
Women in Security Awards, Modern Livery Companies Dinner, Members’ Networking Curry, Apprentice/Apprentice Masters’ Networking Evening
A busy few days with a number of events to attend. On Thursday 11 September the Clerk and I were invited by Roy Cooper (Professional Security Magazine) to attend the ‘Women in Security Awards’ Dinner at Shakespeare’s Underglobe Theatre. This annual event is to celebrate women who excel in the field of security and the Master of the WCoSP is asked to be one of the judges.
On Monday 15th, I attended the Modern Livery Companies Dinner, this time hosted by the Tobacco and Pipemakers’ Company at Armourers Hall, a new venue for me. These are held twice a year and each modern Livery Company takes their turn to host the event.
Tuesday 16 September was a very enjoyable Members’ Networking Curry organised by Tim Molden, Chair of the Membership Committee, at The India restaurant, just off Fleet Street. A relaxed and low-cost event, held twice a year.
On Thursday 18th Simon Imbert, Chair of the Apprentice Management Group, organised the Apprentice/Apprentice Masters’ Networking Evening at 3MI, during which we enjoyed a curry and an excellent talk by Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Matt Jukes QPM.
