RAF Regiment Formation Dinner

Each February the Master is invited to the RAF Regiment Corps Formation Dinner at RAF Honington in Suffolk. The RAF Regiment was formed by Royal Warrant on 1 February 1942 and performs security tasks to protect assets and personnel who are dedicated to the delivery of air power.

I was honoured to be asked to present a Certificate for the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership Trophy and witness other Trophies being presented. Air Vice-Marshal Mick Smeath CBE was dined out as the retiring Commandant-General of the RAF Regiment. We wish him well in his new civilian role.

The new Commandant-General is Air Commodore Paul Hamilton MBE and we look forward to welcoming him at future Company events.
