David currently works as a Speak Up & Investigation Manager for Vodafone. During his career he has worked in a number of roles involving investigations, notably around fraud investigations, risk and controls. After graduating with a degree in Political Science he initially worked as a police office for Hertfordshire Constabulary before moving to roles with the CPS, DTI, Arthur Andersen, his own consultancy firm, the NHS and TfL. He also volunteers as a Magistrate.
David is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (FICA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
He joined the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals in February 2008 and has held roles on the Audit Sub-Committee and as Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. He currently sits on the Ordinances Working Group. He is also an Apprentice Master.
Outside of his professional commitments David enjoys reading (when time permits), travel and used to enjoy running, both Marathons and with the Hash House Harriers. The rigours of an active life mean running has now been replaced by walking. Whilst combining his love of travel and running at an event in Thailand he met the lady who is now his wife and with whom he has two daughters.
