Each year the Company holds a Security Lecture and this year we were honoured to welcome Dr Richard Horne, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is part of GCHQ.  The event was held at the Victory Services’ Club near Marble Arch.

Members of the Company along with Masters, Prime Wardens, Immediate Past Masters and Wardens from other Livery Companies gathered in the El Alamein room to hear a fascinating talk on various aspects of Cyber, after which there was positive and interactive Q&A session.  It is evident that Cyber is here and will affect all of us but, for many, it is still a rather ‘unknown quantity’.  

However following Richard’s talk it was clear that guests had a far better appreciation of its implications.  We are truly appreciative of Richard’s time.  We also thank the VSC for hosting the event, as well as MS Webb who sponsored it.
