Sheriffs’ Award for Bravery Reception – The Old Bailey – Thursday 26 February
The Sheriffs’ Award for Bravery is a highly prestigious Award which is managed by our Company’s Working Group on behalf of the Sheriffs. Every October, at our Annual Dinner, the Sheriffs formally launch the Award and nominations for acts of bravery are sought.
A Reception is held each February at The Old Bailey to further highlight the Award and this year it was held on Thursday 26 February. We were honoured with the presence of the Sheriffs, Alderman and Sheriff Robert Hughes-Penney and Sheriff & Deputy Keith Bottomley. Guests included members from the Blue Light Services, Security organisations, Commercial companies, Company Supporters, the Military and other Livery Companies.
On this occasion we were honoured to welcome back one of the Principal Recipients of the 2025 Award, Molly Bulmer, and her mother. A short film, recorded at our 2025 Common Hall, was shown which included interviews with the Sheriffs, those Commended for acts of bravery, members of the Working Group and nominators.
