We are pleased to announce details of this year’s dinner with the City of London Police Commissioner. Following the success of last year’s dinner where Pete O’Doherty, (then) Acting Commissioner gave a very interesting and insightful presentation, the (now) Temporary Commissioner will be represented by Assistant Commissioner Paul Betts.
AC Betts joined the City of London Police in January 2022. He has served for 25 years in the regular force, and as a volunteer cadet and special constable before that. AC Betts served most of his career in Sussex Police having also spent a brief time in Thames Valley Police and the Metropolitan Police Service.
Throughout his career, AC Betts has served in a variety of roles and specialisms including as a Detective, Critical Incident Commander, Professional Standards, a Strategic Firearms Commander and a Public Order & Public Safety Bronze, Silver and Gold. AC Betts has also led Corporate Development Departments and been Head of Transformation for two forces.
For 2024, the City of London Commissioner’s Dinner, moves to a new venue, 113 Chancery Lane, the home of the Law Society but remains our annual fundraiser for the WCoSP Charitable Trust.
