A Historic Debut at the Lord Mayor’s Show
In a first for our esteemed Company and to highlight this silver jubilee, we are excited to participate with a specially designed float in the 2024 Lord Mayor’s Show on 9th November 2024. This prestigious event, a staple of London’s cultural and civic pride, will be an opportunity for us to showcase our heritage and our commitment to the future of security. We invite our members, families, and supporters to join us on the streets of London for this historic parade, enhancing our celebration with your presence and enthusiasm.
Reflecting on Our Foundational Years
The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals was founded through the foresight and dedication of our Founding Fathers — John Purnell, Steve Neville, and Roy Ramm. Officially recognised in 1999, our Company has grown significantly, both in membership and impact, fostering a broad network of professionals dedicated to advancing security practices.
Milestones of Our Journey
2000: Our inaugural meeting set the stage for growth and outreach.
2004: We evolved into a Company without Livery, broadening our scope.
2008: Granted full Livery status, we solidified our place within the City’s livery companies.
2010: The Royal Charter was bestowed, marking a significant endorsement of our professional and charitable activities.
