Children's Christmas Party - 13 December 2015

This year’s children’s Christmas party held on Sunday 13th December 2015 proved to be a riotous affair.   Once again, the party was generously hosted by Investec, in the restaurant of their Gresham Street offices.  On arrival the children were welcomed by the elves who distributed plush Christmas badges to each of them depicting Santa, snowmen, reindeer and elves.  The party had started! Christmas Luncheon - 11 December 2015

“ …..And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That ate & drank with us upon this St Damasus day.”(With apologies to William Shakespeare)

If you weren’t there, you have missed a superb event and need to book for next year. The Saddlers’ Hall, as usual, made us all welcome and there was a happy throng as the pre-lunch drinks were provided. To read the full report click here.

The Annual Dinner - 12 October 2015

The 2015 Annual Company Dinner was held at Plaisterers’ Hall on Monday 12 October. The Plaisterers’ present hall (the first two halls were destroyed by fire in 1666 and 1882 respectively and the third destroyed by bombing in 1940) at One London Wall was opened in November 1972, with décor of the neo-classical style created by Robert Adam in the 18th Century. We dined in sumptuous splendour in the ‘The Great Hall’ which is the centrepiece of the building. It was a truly memorable evening. For the full report please click  Annual Dinner Report
