Description

Dear Liverymen, Freemen and Members

The Master cordially invites you, and your guests, to join him and other members of the Company at the WCoSP Annual Dinner, to be held on Monday, 9 October 2017 at Merchant Taylors' Hall.

The Annual Dinner is one of the major prestigious events in our calendar, with attendance of the Sheriffs who will present the the 2017 Sheriffs' Award and other specially invited guests, including the Provost Marshal (Army) who will present the 2017 Provost Marshal (Army) Sword to the selected Company member.

Sheriffs’ Award 2017
The Sheriffs’ Award recognises and honours a person, or persons, who have shown courage and initiative in protecting people, property or liberty. Each year nominations for the Award are sought from members of the public, emergency services, armed forces and security services.

The Provost Marshal (Army) Sword
In 2011 the Provost Marshal of the Army, as part of the 500th Anniversary of the Office of Provost Marshal (Army), presented a sword to the Company, with the request that the Sword be presented annually by the Master to the individual, who in the eyes of the Master, had done most to promote and support the work of the Company in that year.

The Dinner is always a very special evening and this year we are privileged to have the Royal Air Force Salon Orchestra to play throughout the evening and entertain us at the end of dinner with some lively and amusing trumpet work.

The event will include the traditional Livery “Loving Cup” ceremony, and will conclude with a follow-on Stirrup Cup to bid us all goodnight.

Please do come and enjoy yourself and support the Company at this important evening.
